So I am sure you are all wondering if I have fallen off the face of the earth...close, I am in Springtown. I am just now able to get an internet connection thanks to the slower-than-cold-tar internet company. Big companies won't come out to this area because it's so rural, so all we have are local small town ISP's and it's a joke. We have a McDonald's, it can't be that rural!
So here I am being lazy. The weather has been really good thankfully, it helps me ease into Texas and not go running screaming out of here. We are leaving for Georgia on Saturday to go visit my sister Tara who just had her 4th baby, Grace Kathryne. You can read all about her at http://www.teenytinytara.blogspot.com/
Until then, hopefully something exciting will happen so I can write about it!

Bye Bye Cushy Job!
Today was my last day of work. It didn't feel weird at all. I almost feel emotionless, which in so not normal for me. I will really miss working there. I have made some really great friends, one has even made me her blogging buddy (Http://meadowsfam.blogspot.com). I will really miss working with Toni, Dainta and Dr. C. It was the best job I have had so far and it will be hard to top! But all good things must come to an end right?

Famous People In Airports
I always thought it would be cool to meet a famous person in an airport. What is embarrassing is when you meet them, don't know who they are and they don't really tell that they are on TV. Yes, that is what happened to me in the Denver airport. But my disclaimer is that I don't watch TV and I don't' have cable so I don't see much. So, I go and sit down and this guy, who later introduced himself as Keegan, asks me if I have good Karma. Well I have been hit on strange men in airports enough to know not to get too chatty, but he seemed normal. He just needed a chance to vent about his horrible flying experience that kept him stranded in Denver, when he was needed at the Pillsbury bake off in Dallas. This definitely intrigued me, not because he was somewhat of a celebrity but that he said average housewives were winning a million dollars! Sign me up! Anyway, we chatted some more and he told me about this horrible plane adventures. He was in a plane crash in 1981 where a plane landed on a Honda during a rainstorm, all hell broke loose and he was one of the 36 survivors on that plane. I wish I would have stayed and talked more but at this point I still didn't know he was telling me the truth and all of this could have been a lie. I guess I have been well taught not to talk to strangers, but man I could have gotten some good pastry tips from him! Oh, well. Jill sent me his profile and apparently he does really work for the Food Network and he was more modest that I expected now that I know his real story! Anyway, you too can read about him here!

Almost goodbye!
The girls at work threw me a going away party with most of all the girls that I have worked with for the last 5 years. Here are some of the fun things that happened!
This is a card that Jeri and Julia made me! I love heart felt sentiment as long as it comes with some sort of chocolate, or in this case...a lot! It says: On the "Rocky Road" of life, sometimes you need to "Take 5" looking for "Hot Males (the Ta was covered up..clever huh!). They may be "Big Hunk"s or "Skinny Hunk"s (which I didn't know existed). Doesn't really matter, just as they're "Kissable". The "Payday" always comes! Thanks for all the "Laffy Taffy"! So cute.. I thought so!
Here we are all together: Bottom L to R:
Jeri, her daughter Julia, Mellisa and baby Eliza
Dainta, Toni, Me,
Audrey(Lori's little girl), Lori, Janice and Trista
Always a grammy!
Dr. Hurst has a tradition of "packing" a suitcase for whoever is leaving. The suitcase always comes from D.I. and is always full of treasures! I really enjoyed the first item which has been called my "compound" dress. If anyone watches the news you will know what this means. But with a dress like this, I will for sure make head wife!
Yes, that is a book about marriage!
Another treasure!
It was a very fun time and I am glad that I got to see everyone and I was especially grateful for my new dress and classy black heels! I will be sure to catch a man now! Even if he already does have 4 other wives! Ewww!

Moving...what it makes you learn about yourself.
I have less than 3 weeks left and I have completely packed my living room and kitchen and done most of the de-junking of all my stuff. From this I have learned that I own A LOT of socks and A LOT of towels (kitchen and bath). I have a compulsion to buy both and I have no idea why.
I have to say I have throughly enjoyed the de-junking process, it is so liberating.
Sax (bro in law) asked me the other day if I was scared to move home. When I said no, he tried to coax it out of me that I really was. (He has known me since I was four and will for eternity think of me as his "little" sister). All I can say to that is hell no! Get me outta here! I will miss some folks, but overall Logan has been a learning experience I have no regrets leaving behind. Including my job, which i thought I would never say. It has been the best job I have ever had and probably will always be the best one, but sadly I have out grown it and have become bored.
Logan will always be my college town where I went from a college kid to an adult. Its where I grew up, made some of the best friends I will ever have and where I learned the hardest and best lessons. But who wants to stay in their college town? I sure as hell don'! (Look at me I'm swearin' like a Texan already!)
My family is super duper excited for me to come home, I'm surprised you haven't heard Jill holerin'! Anyway, Cait has already found me a car! Isn't she sweet!
